Gas pressure governor

In gold workshops utilizing gas-fired melting furnaces or manual torch-soldering benches, fuel gases are stored in cylinders under highly volatile, extreme pressures. The first-stage regulator serves as the critical primary safety barrier. It intercepts the raw high pressure from the tank (which can exceed 16 bar) and steps it down via a robust internal diaphragm mechanism to a controlled, medium delivery pressure (typically around 1 to 2 bar).
